Irony in Religion and Atheism by Jay

I popped in today to see ads for local churches, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Single Atheists, Single Christians and Christian Loans?
I was tempted to ask for the removal of all, but thought it better to leave the ironic battle to itself.
I'm most aligned with Arthur C. Clarke:
"The greatest tragedy in mankind's entire history may be the hijacking if morality by religion. "
Personally, I don't need religion to dictate my morality. I have screwed-up, I will again, I'm human. But I take responsibility.
I'm also "fascinated by the concept of God." In addition, I'm quite sure their must be other life that is "higher" than we are or "our" God is not omnipotent, but impotent.
Since we're such a disappointing planet, and as the highest (cough, furball) lifeform here, we're responsible.
Ergo, there must be life elsewhere, if there is a God. Since no God would hold us up as Her best work (Very embarrassing at the God Conventions).
I assume we're a secret project hiding in the corner of Her lab, in a petri dish.
