The Saw franchise has had 4 series out in theaters and now has added their 5th. While loyal fans say this movie was good others say don’t waste your time.

Saw V was directed by a new director David Hackl and this made some viewers a bit skeptical. Lion’s Gate produced the Saw V movie and it runs for approximately 92 minutes. Saw V was written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan both in charge of screen play. This series of Saw was filmed in Toronto and Ontario and is rated R due to torture and other violent themes in the film. Saw V is under the genres of action, crime, horror, mystery or thriller. The tag line is “You won’t believe how it ends.” With such a tag line viewers were eager to see this film.

The best way to get the full understanding of all the flash backs that takes place in Saw V is to watch series 1- 4 first. While some have seen Saw V others in different parts of the world are waiting for the film to be released in theaters. For instance on Oct, 24 in the UK and US Saw V was in theaters, but for others places like Italy (Dec, 5th), and Germany ( Jan, 15th) they must wait for the release.

The main characters in this series of Saw are FBI agent Mark Hoffman and agent Strahm. They are both trying to find Jigsaw in separate ways. Agent Strahm finds something out about FBI agent Mark Hoffman and the plot goes on from there. Saw is always released around Halloween, a very smart time for a horror film to be in theaters.
