Adults have a lot of responsibilities. When you reach adulthood, the carefree days of youthfulness are behind you, and suddenly being an adult means that you have to act like an adult. Acting like an adult has a lot of meaning; it does not simply mean that the days of childhood pranks are behind you, and it does not simply mean that you can no longer get away with things you could as a child. It means much more than that.

Being an adult comes with a lot of responsibilities. One of the biggest responsibilities is financial. Adults have to support themselves, and getting a job to take care of yourself and your family is a huge responsibility. There are bills to pay, food and shelter to provide, and if you have kids, it's an even bigger responsibility. Children are a huge responsibility. When you become an adult, if you decide to have children, taking care of them can be very taxing, financially and otherwise. You have to be a responsible adult to support a family. Holding down a full time job to take care of, and meet all of your financial obligations, is the only way to make it in the world. And adults have to be able to be responsible enough to take on a job, and keep the job so that they can support themselves and their family.

Being an adult is not easy. Many people cannot wait until they are grown up and are out of their childhoods, only to realize that being a child wasn't so bad. As a child, they didn't have to worry about money, buying a house, a family, bills, and getting a job to support all these things. Being an adult is a lot of responsibility.
