We all know dogs are the best friend to a person and we can learn many lessons from them for making friends. The bond between a person and the dog is something that can be described as unconditional love.
Marley and Me is one of the best books ever written about this undeniable love and bond not only because it is very touching and humorous but because it is also a true story. The unconditional love that the Groban family gives to Marley and gets in return is the perfect lesson one can get about true friendship. No matter how rambunctious or destructive to things around him, or how crazy and hyperactive Marley was, the Grobans loved him for what he is. He returned that acceptance with the same passion when they needed his companionship and protection.
The movie, Marley and Me with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson along with their many co-actors of Marley’s various stages of growth are a perfect ensemble to portray this beautiful, real life story. Both Jennifer and Owen are the perfect choices to play the Grobans because they are both dog lovers in real life. The movie appeals to all ages of a family for its comedic story, touching examples of unconditional love at its best, and its lesson about mortality and remembrance.
The book and the movie are destined to be a classic in the years to come much like Lassie and Old Yeller that we all know from our childhood and share with our own children.
