I'm not much into bondage, as the term implies being bound.

On the up side most American's have bonded in support of President Obama. President Obama just met the legislature, which is filled with the same pork-bellied power hungry meglomaniacs it has always been filled with.

So, he pushes through a bill for "stimulus" that is a "compromise" instead of holding-out for the best bill for the problem.

Same old, same old.

Unless you are one of the top 5 percent wealthy, with 95% +/- of the wealth, WE the people can bond/grieve over the loss of our status as mediocre.

It's really simple: We have major disagreements, like a family with a few hundred million brothers fighting.

But woe be to an unknown person interjecting into said family, then all brothers unite to defeat said foe. We celebrate. Then continue fighting amongst ourselves.

This is WWII... Pearl Harbor united us. Most infighting stopped, we defeated our outside foe, celebrated and went back to fighting amongst ourselves.
 
The last 8 years were just the end of a run.  George Bush Senior raised taxes, which cost him the election.

Clinton did the right thing and rode the economic wave. Bush Junior was about to enter a recession, but 911 gave him great power and he in turn took those powers (or more precisely Cheney took those powers) and exponentially increased them.

No, one person is to blame.

However, there is one group that claim to be bonded: It's the normal, everyday walking around, nobody notices Americans (like me).

We could bond over being group-screwed? At least our rapists were "the best and the brightest".  I should've gone to Harvard or Yale (don't lament too much my fellow Americans, we've all been screwed by our leaders).

It's easy as long as you have butt-loads of money and your dad was President (must be a rubber stamp diploma).

So pardon me if if I suggest this is an economic Pearl Harbor, we need to pull together.

The problem is, the enemy is within.

Damn our own duality...

I can ask that people be investigated, and if found guilty, go to jail... not bailed-out.

Jail if guilty, bail-out if deserving.

I think we can unite on this.
