Eddie Murphy's a con, Nick Nolte's a cop. Nick springs Eddie from jail to help him solve a crime, but he only gets 48hrs. Eddie's insufferable, Nick's worse. Yet they're both capable and insufferable. The boys are back in town. Their arc is simple: They become less insufferable through hilarious, classic scenes. The "new (black) sheriff in a rather prejudice all white tough, country music joint" is worth the price of admission (your time).
