Why is it worthy of your time? It shows Cary Grant as a softy, a n'er do well. A completely different character than what we remember him as. It failed, yet according to his biography, he loved this movie. Irene Dunne is as good as she always is. It's a real life saga, not overblown or over romanticized. A family struggles as most of us do. The relationship begins to collapse, a child's caught in the middle. It's 1941 and I'm guessing this was made before anyone knew we'd be in WWII and looking for uplifting fare. buy unique gifts at Zazzle |
