So, the world's smartest dude is a mediocre dude from the past that participated in a military experiment that put in stasis. He's awoke and so is a prostitute that's smarter than he is in many ways, but that's irrelevant. The point is we're not very bright today and we think we are. Here's a guy that doesn;t think he's super-smart, he's a slacker and now finds himself in the dumbed-down America of the future and he's the smartest man on Earth. What does he know? A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court knows: Plants need water, not electrolytes only, to survive. I think the movie didn't do well at the box office because it just hit too close to home.
