Dear Chase,
I am in receipt of your "important notice regarding changes to your (my) account".
Thank you for your timely notice regarding your complete disregard for the consumer.
I have recently reviewed my accounts and in order to maintain their profitability it may be necessary to suspend payments on accounts we list as: gouging/gluttony.
This suspension will be permanent. We, being humble individuals and not a massive soul-sucking corporation must decide if we are willing to allow you (heartless soul-sucking corporation) to damage our credit and besmirch our decent name without a fight.
While weighing the incompetence, we the people just bailed out, so you could in turn decide to reek havoc. It seems you've got us coming and going here.
The Congress should look into your incompetence and/or criminal behavior. Since it's clearly your reputation that should suffer, not we the people.
Again, please be buoyed by our sincere support for your demise.
We will be keeping an eye on your progress into the abyss. As stated, by our profitability chairman, Daffy Duck, we will be reviewing your account and looking for ways we can return your thoughtless acts, without damaging our reputation.
Signed,
John Q. Public
Assistant to Daffy Duck
Seriously, if you need credit card counseling: Interest rate reduction, balance reduction, relief from bank abuses.
Contact a credit counselor, no need to pay a lot of fees. There are non-profit organizations out there that will and can help.
You could fight each bank, but it's tough as an individual.
A person close to me used with success: American Financial Solutions. They did what they said, their fees were small, as they're non-profit, and were easy to work with.
I/we are not affiliated in anyway other then the client relationship previously mentioned.
